Free plan · no card required
A free trading journal, with the numbers rebuilt from your own fills
TickerReplay's free plan is permanent, not a trial, and it does not ask for a card. It covers 30 trades per rolling 30 days, and every trade is reconstructed from the executions you import, so the reports are traceable back to real fills rather than to figures you typed in.
30 trades per rolling 30 days. No card, no trial.

What the free plan includes
- 30 trades per rolling 30 days. The window rolls, so the allowance comes back rather than resetting on a billing date.
- The full reports suite: win rate, expectancy, profit factor, R-multiples, drawdown, and calendar P&L.
- CSV import from any broker, with spreads, rolls, and assignments kept whole.
- Notes, tags, and screenshots on every trade.
- Export back out as CSV or JSON, whenever you want, including everything you wrote.
Where free stops
Broker auto-sync is paid, because it costs us money per connected account every month. So are unlimited trades, extra dashboards, AI insights, and the coaching features. Paid plans start at $15/mo billed annually. Nothing you have already logged is taken away if you stop paying; the account returns to the free plan with your data intact.
How it compares to other free journals
| Journal | Free plan, as of September 2026 |
|---|---|
| TickerReplay | Yes: 30 trades per rolling 30 days, full reports, import and export |
| Tradervue | Yes: 30 trades per month |
| TradesViz | Yes: 3,000 executions per month, stocks only, one account |
| TradeZella | No permanent free plan |
| TraderSync | No permanent free plan; 7-day trial |
| Edgewonk | No free plan or trial; 14-day money-back |
Free tiers in this category are similar on volume, so the number of trades is rarely what decides it. The difference shows up in what happens to a multi-leg options trade once it is imported, and in whether you can take your data back out.
Common questions
Is the free plan really free, or a trial that expires?
Permanent, and it does not ask for a card. There is no countdown and no point where the account locks; if 30 trades per rolling 30 days is enough for how you trade, you can stay on it indefinitely.
What happens when I hit 30 trades?
New trades pause until the window rolls. It is a rolling 30 days rather than a calendar month, so the allowance comes back day by day as older trades age out, instead of everything resetting on one date. Nothing already logged is hidden or deleted.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes, on every plan including free. Export trades and executions as CSV, or everything at once as JSON, which includes your notes, tags, day notes, and strategies. Deleting your account purges the data rather than archiving it.
What is the catch on broker auto-sync being paid?
It costs us a per-connected-account fee every month, so it cannot be free without being funded by something. CSV import is unlimited on the free plan and rebuilds exactly the same trades; sync only saves you the download step.
Start without paying
Import a CSV, or log a few trades by hand. If 30 a month stops being enough, the paid plans are there; if it is enough, stay on free.

Free things that are not the journal
The trading calculators and the options lessons need no account at all. Start with calls versus puts if the contracts are new.
